health care
Health care should not be run by the federal government. The house and senate are wasting taxpayers money and time trying to change the system we have now and they are getting nowhere. It would be more efficient for the states to run their own health care systems. If the states run the healthcare system,it will be more localized and it will save money because the states already have the state offices of health already running.Nationalizing health care would require more offices and staff to run it which would require more money and it would be funded by higher taxes.Pennsylvania has a medical card system for people who are underemployed or in poverty to make sure they are covered and the people making a good living can afford to purchase their own insurance. There is also a program called CHIP to make sure that children are covered. There are a few people in the state that are not covered though because not everyone qualifies for a medical card. The state of Pennsylvania has a pretty good system as it is and it would be bad if the federal government stepped in and changed it.However,if the national government would insure everyone, the cost of healthcare might go down because the hospitals and doctors will not have to waste money suing people and trying to collect money from people who are not insured. Also,if everyone is insured, they could go to the doctors more often for checkups to prevent getting sick and to catch diseases early in their development so they could take care of it early. If the states would insure people however, the government would not have to and the doctors would not have to collect that money and they could concentrate on early checkups to keep the state citizens healthy and productive. It should be the responsibility of individual states to provide health care for their citizens, not the federal government.

wow !The points that you have laid out here are profoundly insightful.thanks
ReplyDeletehell yea socialized health care, what is this france
ReplyDeletegreat job Jason, great insight on a healthcare system in need of change, thanks
ReplyDeleteI was watching Oprah the other day and people from other parts of the world were commenting on healthcare. They made a really good point. They said why wouldn't you make health care free? Why would you want the people in your country to be sick? I don't know what we will do to solve all these health care and insurance issues but hopefully we get it together soon because it is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteBreonna i too saw that episode and it was uplifting. Health care should absolutely be free.
ReplyDeletethis article had nothing to do with free healthcare. it was about state run not federally run health care. how do you read an entire article and miss the point of it? free health care means you rely on the government. hell if we are going to do that lets just hand out checks and we can all just sit on our asses and let the government take care of us. the article was talking about affordable heath care for those working. free healthcare doesnt work and never will. do your research. brilliant article jason. sorry your readers cant comprehend what your saying.
ReplyDeleteYou are exactly right Charlie.I was not implying that there be free healthcare,i meant that it should be up to the states to run their own healthcare systems.Making it state run would be so much better because people and doctors would not have to deal with a government office in Washington DC,it would be closer to home and the state office would not have millions of hospitals to deal with, just the ones in the state.
ReplyDeletethank you for the return comment. you are exactly right jason. too bad more people like you aren't speaking out and making sense when they do so. which is exactly what palin wanted for us.
ReplyDeletep.s. im charles g. not to be confused by the other charles
I agree with Breonna and Charles. I would like to add that Medicaid only helps the poor, non-working or immigrants! CHIP is for kids.
ReplyDeleteThere is no healthcare for working middleclass unless offered through your employer
It is the working middle class who NEED healthcare. For instance my Mom works for an employer who doesn't offer health ins...he doesn't have to...and if he did it might mean he doesn't get a new 50+ Benz every year and own that 4 million beach house. My Mom makes to much to qualify for Medical assistance but not enough to pay for it herself! So guess what she is uninsured but works her butt off..how fair is that? WE need to take care of our own. Why not gov't run healthcare?? It is just a big money making business now! Wake up people! I work for the hospital...under the finace dept. I see what goes on..LOL Believe me it business!
If Dr's made what a trash collector did how many Dr's would we have. I don't mind that they make money but look at Sweden. a Dr there is one to help people, a calling, not for the big bucks. It just astonishes me that people don't want a gov't run healthcare..but don't mind a corporation running it!
OMG! PALIN...LOL!
ReplyDeleteCome on stacie...tell us more about Palin. Lets see your intellect on this subject. "LOL!" Is thats all you got? Could you give us some facts as to why Palin is a joke. I'm guessing you just jumped on the liberal bandwagon and are stumped to come up with one example as to why Palin is a joke. Come on Stacie enlighten us.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Stacie she was nothing more than a bad choice token to pick up left over hilary votes! However this is a blog about healthcare in which people can express their opinions on the subject or sugest an alternative to a system in which is filled with flaws and quite obviously is not working Charles G. doctors and pharmecutical companies continue to pad their pockets while us middle class suffer. I am also unisured by our great healthcare system but I bet you that the low life's who never work and continue to have babies are insured!
ReplyDeleteso i take it you as well no nothing about palin's health care proposal. once again here we go with not a single fact to back why someone is "a bad choice token". i'm sure a man that was in office for over forty years picked sarah palin because she was A GIRL and thats the only reason he picked her. no it wouldn't have anything to do with some of the best forward thinking political proposals for change that have ever been put onto paper.stop believing the edited material that liberal media feeds you. here i'll help you sarah palin proposed a health plan that completely supports the brilliant author of this blog. jason what is your opinion of sarah palin?
ReplyDeleteI actually agree with her on this issue. She stands against the federal government stepping in and running it.She believes that it should be a free market to keep costs down.Part of the proposal now is to have a panel in Washington DC who decides what care you recieve and the older and sick people may not recieve the care that they need if the panel decides not to pay for the care.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203440104574400581157986024.html
ReplyDeletejasonh i just went to the link you posted above. thank you i have been enlightened. i'm no longer with stacey. i completely misjudged Palin. i'm ashamed to say i bought into the media. funny thing is Palin believes exactly what i believe and all this time i've been bad mouthing her because i didnt know the facts. i appologise for my ignorance.
ReplyDeleteDidn't sound like you were ever with Stacey to me! This 2 Charles thing is confusing. Thanks for the link Haner.
ReplyDeletei didnt right that. you did.
ReplyDeletewrite
ReplyDeleteI didn't write it!
ReplyDeleteJason, have you ever heard of heathy york network. its pretty cool.its lower then state ran. its local dude.now thats getting it right.well i think some of the money comes from state taxpayers. basically on healthy york network you pay a small very small fee to see your doctor in the network. and i think the balance that you dont pay gets donated by local doctors and hospitols and stuff.then I think that reduces their state tax bill.ok so tell me if I am correct and if you think this works good. I am very into local stuff helping people not BIG Goverment.they suck.its their nature to suck at running things.they cant help it. the bigger and bigger my company gets ove the past 16years the worse it is to work there.its a fact.i am so unhappy at my job its crazy nuts.and so is everyone around me.they lie if they say its not true.
ReplyDeleteso the bigger the gov gets the worse it will be to be under the goverments thumb.mmmm do your federal taxes and have fun doing it. hey check this out what if everyone had to write a check out for their taxes at the end of the year? do you think any one would vote for anyone that wanted to raise taxes after that...governor rendell I am glad you will be gone. spendell > ^^^^^
I have never heard of the healthy York network.I will have to check out the facts about it and make an informed decision as to if it is a good plan. From what you said in your post it sounds all good.It is good having state benefits, but localized insurance is better. The beurocrats running it are more in touch with the people's needs and prices in this area.I am sure the government in Washington have no clue even where York is unless they google it.I too am glad Rendell is out of here too,he has done so much to hurt the people of this state. We need a great leader who is looking out for us,not his rich buddies who line his pockets.
